We specialise in conditions such as acquired and traumatic brain injuries (TBI), dementia and spinal cord injuries (SCI). We address multiple and complex needs through assessment and interventions for a range of physical and functional cognitive difficulties, including memory challenges, cognitive fatigue and impaired executive skills.
Michelle Van Wyck
An allied health leader and senior Occupational Therapist who has practiced in the USA and Australia leading multidisciplinary teams, including Wilmington Hospital Delaware USA and the Mayo Private hospital Taree NSW. Michelle has experience in delivering rehabilitation and community services including NSW SIRA, Lifetime Care & Support, hospital services, aged care and the NDIS. Michelle's expertise is neurological rehabilitation with a passion for upper limb rehabilitation having been a hand therapist in the USA. Michelle supports the Taree and Forster NSW regions.
Karen Opitz
An experienced clinician supporting people with complex needs Karen has held multiple roles including Injury Management Advisor (insurance schemes), Stroke Foundation national clinical team, NSW Health Brain Injury Rehabilitation Services, NSW Rural Spinal Cord Injury Service, NSW & Qld Health and University Clinical Educator. Strategic roles have included the Public Trustee Qld, NIISQ and Executive at the NDIA. Karen supports the Port Macquarie NSW region.
